If you’re up for a proper sail with time to enjoy all the beaches of the Whitsunday Islands this summer, book a full day sail. You’ll have a chance to kick back on deck and experience what it’s like with the sails up – with a knowledgeable local skipper that will look after everything. And, don’t worry, you’ll come back with plenty of photos to share.
Waltzing Matilda is renowned for its day sails in the Whitsundays. We’re licensed to carry 30 guests on day sails around the tropical Whitsunday Islands, meaning you can bring your entire workplace or family along for the ride!
You’ll get to experience a sail down to Woodwark Bay, where you can then swim, snorkel, or just laze around on the white sand beach while the crew make your choice of a nice BBQ or a picnic lunch that will truly surprise your senses.

We have plenty of padded room on deck and below deck, with a shower, 2 toilets, free photos and a great crew. We are BYO but we have 2 large eskies with ice, 2 fridges and a great atmosphere for drinking. I mean, what more could you ask for this Christmas?

Christmas in the Whitsundays: half day sail
If you don’t have time for a full day out? Don’t worry, we offer day sails for as little as 2 hours, 3 hours, or even 5 hours if you’d prefer. You and your Christmas crew will enjoy a relaxed few hours on deck, with loads to see, even if you’re just joining us for 2 short hours.
You can pop on your swimsuit, pick up a glass of something and step abroad! Even if it’s just a small part of your Christmas celebration, it’s one you won’t forget… and one that’s as classically Australian as you can get!
